The crypto industry has come a long way over the past year. The place that this is so evident is in the Exchange landscape (as evidenced by some of those at the hearing). We now have more choice than ever when it comes to cryptocurrency exchanges.
Indeed, given all the options, it can be quite hard to zero in on the best options out there. In fact, the question of what is the "best" can be considered a subjective based on individual requirements. What works for me, may not work for you.
That is why I thought it was high time that I updated the video that I made last year on the top 5 crypto exchanges. My video today takes you through 6 best options for 2022.
Indeed, some of these I have covered before but have never properly put them head-to-head. That is what I do in the video. I compare them based on the following:
- User Support: Which countries & states are allowed
- Security: How do they keep coins safe?
- Fiat Support: Currencies you can use to on/off ramp from crypto

❓ Best Crypto Exchange ❓
Here’s the deal, there is no such thing as the best crypto exchange. There are so many personal variables that go into that, so there is no one-size fits all answer.
1️⃣ FTX 1️⃣
FTX has exploded out of nowhere and is now the third largest crypto exchange in the world. That growth has been partly driven by the raising of $1.3 billion in funding this year, which has been spent on various high-profile sponsorship deals. This exchange offers access to around 275 cryptos and has some of the lowest trading fees out there. In terms of additional features, you can automate your trading strategies for free, participate in IEOs, dabble in their NFT marketplace and much more!
2️⃣ Gemini 2️⃣
This is one of the top US-facing exchanges out there and is founded by the Winklevoss twins. One of the main selling points here is the exchange’s regulatory compliance - indeed they have even made that the focus of multiple marketing campaigns. Around 60 cryptos are available here and Gemini has focused on being a straight-up exchange.
3️⃣ Coinbase 3️⃣
Coinbase holds a plethora of licenses and also takes compliance exceptionally seriously. Around 100 cryptos are available here, with Coinbase Pro offering the best trading functionality.
4️⃣ Kraken 4️⃣
This exchange has one of the longest track records out there, being founded back in 2011. Yes, KrakenPro’s trading interface could do with an update, but this is nonetheless a top quality exchange.
5️⃣ Binance 5️⃣
Is a legendary crypto exchange amongst crypto dabblers. That’s due to it giving you access to around 400 cryptos. The trading interface is also one of the best out there, fees are low and it’s packed full of additional products and features. That is why most crypto enthusiasts have an account here.
6️⃣ Kucoin 6️⃣
In crypto circles, Kucoin is best known for being a top altcoin exchange. Here, you’ll get access to over 100 more than even Binance. So, if you are an exotic altcoin speculator then you probably want to try this exchange out. The trading interface is beautiful, fees are low and there are a wide range of other crypto services on offer here like free trading bots - what is there not to like?
